Goodbye

Saying goodbye is probably the hardest thing to do. Knowing it could be years until you see that person again. My best friend just moved to Texas and living in New York it's not just a day trip to see her. We can always text, call each other, or oovoo but it will never be the same. That's the hardest part of all of this, knowing beyond this point things will never be the same. I need someone to tell me it will all be ok and we will still be best friends, but nobody is telling me that. Nobody is trying to reassure me or comfort me. And so, the readjusting to a new life without one of my best friends down the street begins.

Dance

I am so happy that dance is finding itself in social media with Dance Moms, Breaking Point, Bunheads, and the upcoming Step Up Revolution. I think people are starting to really look at this beautiful art form. Someone once said. "dance is the shortcut to happiness", and with dance being my passion I can say it really is. No matter what age you are, if you are looking for something new to try this summer, find a local dance studio and see if they are hosting open dance classes. The best thing about dance is that not only is it a beautiful way to express yourself, it can also get you in shape. :)

Saying Goodbye

Saying goodbye can be a painful thing, especially when a lot of people you know are moving or going to a different school than you are. Sometimes though, you have to try your hardest to not break down and cry until its time for them to really go. Sometimes you just have to make the most of the time you have. When they go, keep in touch give them a scrapbook to take with them, and never forget about them. True it might not ever be them same but remember not to feel sad that it's over be happy it happened. If you're going through a time like this, like me, my favorite song is For Good from the musical Wicked.

Dreams

Recently my parents have really been pushing the whole what I'm going to be when I grow up thing, and I always reply with "I don't know" or "A dancer". My dads whole thing is "that it won't pay the bills" and my mom told me that it was unrealistic. So lately I've been thinking a lot about dreams. I realized something, it's not really a dream unless when someone tells you can't do it, you want to reach your dream even more. Right? Well I've decided that eventhough people have told me over and over I can't become a dancer I'm going to make it one day. I believe that it doesn't matter where you start, it's the determination that decides where you finish.
